Baker, the world’s foremost expert on Costa Rica travel and tourism, has written five guidebooks about Costa Rica, which he has visited more than 40 times. He has been privileged to address the National Press Club, National Geographic Society (televised “Live from National Geographic”), and World Affairs Council. He has appeared on ABC, CBS, Fox TV, NBC, NPR, & dozens of other radio & TV outlets. He currently escorts cruise-tours for National Geographic Expeditions.

Christopher P. Baker shoots primarily to illustrate his books and magazine articles. He has won multiple major awards for both his travel writing and photography. Baker travels regularly to update his image files on the places about which he writes, including California, Cuba, Costa Rica, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. Baker’s portfolio of Costa Rica photographs is more than 5,000 images strong.

His images are available for purchase or licensing. Prices are negotiated for each particular use depending on the size, location and duration of the use.
